Piteraq

The last 24 hours we have had Piteraq (strong Føhns storm) in Kuummiut ... The wind is cold it comes from the ice cap and it is very dry. The humidity outside is now 26% HP.The barometer is rising, so The Piteraq will stop blowing over the next hours. In the village we see no people outside the houses because the wind chill is high. I have trouble keeping warm in my house ...

The majority of the vessels in the port has been moved to a place more sheltered.....

High waves in the normally calm inlet......

The wind blows from the north west.... The inlet on the opposite side of Kuummiut, facing north west, so there is the strongest storm.... The sea is more white than blue.....

After Piteraq

Photos from Saturday morning....The piteraq (storm) is over.....One boat sank in the harbour bay.....
And the piteraq overturned the bell frame, in front of the church......

The bell was'nt broken.........

The bell is now on the floor in the church.....

My computer broke down Saturday morning and could'nt fix it....Luckily I had an old one....But it is'nt so good as the old one....

What a day!!!!

My computer broke down this morning at 5.45 It was not virus, but the new Windows Exolorer 8beta....It does'nt like it....I'm working intenence to give you some pictures about the damages caused by the piteraq (storm)
