Ammassalik Fjord

The day began with snow and light winds .... I had prepared my mooring on the boat, because it was very low tide today ... About noon, I sailed into the fjord ... I sailed to the north into Ammassalik Fjord ... Not far from Kuummiut it was totally calm ... I will never get tired of looking, at the beautiful reflecions in the clear water of Ammassalik Fjord....

Full speed....
In East Greenland, there are many sharp mountains......

Siggi fishing halibut ....In the background Solar gate.....

Backlit.....

Like a harpune.....

Yes, I love this place...But some times i feel a little bit isolated..
First ship from Denmark in the end of June...Last ship in the end of October...
The language is extreme difficult for us from Europe...

I love your blog. I try to look at it each day to see what is happening in a place so completely different from my place in Australia. I am also a teacher and a very passionate photographer. I am very envious of the landscape that you photograph. Your photos are always wonderful and your comments so friendly. I particularly love the ones just now of the reflections. I am looking forward to more spring and summer images. Thankyou for sharing your part of the world with us so beautifully!!
