When my boat was back in the water after I had filled new oil on the engine, I sailed a small trip on the fjord ... In the background the mountains called The Triplets ...

This week, every day, one of my photos were shown on TV KNR, Greenland's official television channel ...The picture was shown before the sending of advertising or if there was a pause in the broadcasts

Holiday :-)

We had a day off from school today ... Nice to be able to relax in the morning ... In the afternoon I sailed out on the fjord ... A wonderful weather ... calm ... and an incredibly beautiful Ammassalik Fjord...

I sailed into the inlet side to look for seals on the winter ice .. They usually suns them selves on the ice in the sunshine....I met Andreas who was in search of seals ... We saw a seal, but was disturbed by helicopter ... rich tourists helliskiing ...
Andreas is a nice old sealer ... Now he serves no money, because of some sick people's attitude to seal hunting ... Yes poverty is spreading in our village ...

The day began with snow and light winds .... I had prepared my mooring on the boat, because it was very low tide today ... About noon, I sailed into the fjord ... I sailed to the north into Ammassalik Fjord ... Not far from Kuummiut it was totally calm ... I will never get tired of looking, at the beautiful reflecions in the clear water of Ammassalik Fjord....

I feel happy such an early morning....Thankful to have the chance to see the great landscape of East Greenland

Ammassalik Fjord open today

Today the packice opened up. It was possible to go by boat to Tasiilaq (Ammassalik). The voyage took only one hour this morning. Nice to visit family...and the supermarket.

The depressive weather from yesterday is gone.

A day with a lot of sunshine....When I came back from my job... i sat for a long time infront of the house looking at the beautiful mountains on the opposite side of the Ammassalik Fjord....No wind, the fjord was like a big mirror....I feelt lucky and thankful...what a beautiful country I'm living in.

Now it is possible to sail to one of the other setlements,Kulusuk. Here. the fishers/hunters sell capelins..

Price over 10 us dollars pr. kilogram.

The capelins comes in enormus amounts to our Fjord here in May and June. It is possible to shovel up the capelins near the beach. You can just fill up your boat, if you want.
